Hi I'm Jamé! (she/they)
I'm a lifelong active nerd and personal trainer who loves helping folx of all shapes, genders, and abilities feel healthy, strong, and confident.
After working for 15 years in tech, I've spent the past 2 years turning my passion into a business. When I started out, I was shocked that there were no fitness businesses explicitly for the queer community in Chicago and decided to change that. So many queer folx struggle with listening to their bodies and feeling confident moving in their bodies. My goal is to help you connect with your body and what it can do. I also try to keep my services accessible to the community by offering sliding scale pricing and small group training.
I believe that fitness is not as complicated as many trainers would like you to believe. Depending on your goals, there are different nuances, but there are a handful of fundamental movement patterns that we use in every day life. I believe in building those foundational movements, like squatting and pressing, so that you can progress safely and build strength. But most importantly, those movement patterns and strength translate to moving and feeling better in every day life.
